TASTING NOTES

Cirillo Single Vineyard Shiraz 2023 is a refined expression of Barossa Valley’s renowned terroir, crafted with meticulous care by winemaker Marco Cirillo. This premium Shiraz is made exclusively from grapes grown on the estate’s high-quality vineyard, showcasing the true character of the 2023 vintage.

Employing traditional methods such as open fermentation, natural yeast, and basket pressing, the wine is then matured for 10 months in seasoned French and American oak barrels. This careful process results in a wine with enticing aromas of cocoa, mint, and blackcurrant, perfectly balanced by a soft, juicy mid-weight palate bursting with vibrant black and blue fruit flavors.

The Cirillo Shiraz offers a mid-palate weight and a lengthy finish that lingers gracefully, making it an excellent introduction to the rich and complex world of Barossa Valley Shiraz. Known for its serious value, this wine delivers artisan quality without compromise, reflecting the region’s reputation for producing bold yet elegant reds.

Barossa Valley is celebrated for its warm climate and old-vine Shiraz grapes, which contribute to the wine’s depth and intensity. The 2023 vintage benefited from ideal growing conditions, resulting in grapes with concentrated flavors and balanced acidity, enhancing the wine’s structure and aging potential.

Perfect for pairing with grilled meats, hearty stews, or a sophisticated cheese platter, the Cirillo Single Vineyard Shiraz 2023 is a versatile and approachable wine that elevates any occasion.

Single-vineyard, 1990-planted shiraz from the Cirillo estate in Vine Vale. Deep, magenta-splashed crimson with aromas of satsuma plum, black cherry and blackberry with hints of baking spices, softly-spoken choc-mint oak, pan juices, dark chocolate, olive tapenade and earth. It's a medium-weighted style and shows some lovely buoyancy and space in its palate travel, finishing savoury and true. Again, tremendous value here, which is a reoccurring theme with wines from this estate.
