"75/25% grenache/mourvèdre; matured 14 months in seasoned French barriques. I've had some cracking bottles of the Avignon over the years, and I'll continue to return to its charms on the back of the current release. Calm and composed with a confident, exotically-spiced air, plush plummy fruit, a touch of black pepper, roasting meats and a distinct violet swish of its tail. Just so easy to drink, finishing savoury and true."
