Tasting Notes
Château Clerc Milon 2024 is the product of an exceptional terroir, visionary stewardship, and fastidious attention to detail. Nestled between the iconic vineyards of Mouton and Lafite Rothschild, this Grand Cru Classé benefits from a unique microclimate and deep gravel soils that lend both power and finesse. Revitalised by Baron Philippe de Rothschild in the 1970s, Clerc Milon has since become one of Pauillac’s most consistent and refined expressions. The 2024 vintage showcases a brilliant balance of richness and elegance, with expressive notes of red and black berries, cedarwood, mocha, and spice. The palate is smooth yet structured, led by remarkably fine tannins and a sense of poised clarity that persists through the finish.

95 / 100"Here it is-that silky tenderness I’ve been hoping for. Château Clerc Milon has always been a master of smooth elegance, delivering exceptional quality regardless of the vintage, never missing a beat, whether it’s sunny or stormy. In the 2024 vintage, Cabernet Sauvignon accounts for 66%, but the aroma suggests an even greater presence. The high-purity violet and pencil lead notes immediately transport you to the classic scenes of the 1980s Médoc, while the fresh scent of wild blueberries and black plums feels like a breeze in the morning, pulling time back into the present. Given the winery’s history of consistent quality, this wine is bound to become more refined and captivating with age. - Alexandre Ma"

"Very well-made, showing warm bread and graphite to the darker fruit. Not quite dense, this is balanced, juicy and supple in the center, showing a mix of black and red berries and cedar in the finish. Medium- to full-bodied, focused and nicely structured. It has fine, firm tannins and a long, nuanced finish. Classic Bordeaux without any sweetness. - James Suckling"
