Tasting Notes
From high in the hills of Nantoux comes one of the most forward-thinking wines in the Dancer stable. The 2023 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune Blanc is not just a fresh and vibrant take on Chardonnay, it’s a glimpse into the future of Burgundy itself.
This wine hails from a young agroforestry project planted by the Dancer family on a limestone plateau at 400 metres above Pommard. Massal-selection vines, curated by renowned nurseryman Lilian Bérillon, are planted alongside a variety of local trees in an ecosystem designed to thrive sustainably. The results are already speaking for themselves.
The 2023 is pure and mineral, with cool citrus, fine spice, and a texture that walks the line between energy and restraint. There’s generosity here, but it’s taut and finely etched. You can sense the altitude and the intent behind every decision in the vineyard.
A smart, exciting white Burgundy from one of the region’s most progressive domaines.
