Tasting Notes
The Skilly Valley sub-region of Clare lies on the Western side of the region. The soil is sandy clay-loam over a broken quartz, producing bright lifted aromas of orange blossom and hints of flint. The palate is citrus with some peach and tropical notes, followed by a very characteristic minerality. With crisp and electric acidity, the palate is left refreshed and eager to continue. Scores
93 / 100"A bright minerally scented wine from the Skilly Valley which sits within the Watervale subregion. This has more obvious lemony citrus notes and less of the Watervale minerality. The acid is slightly softer and the result is a wine that is delightfully friendly and appealing. Love the aromatic lift of red apple and a trace of orange zest. Excellent wine."
