A Sharp Cut of Citrus and Agave
There's no shortcut to a good Margarita - unless the shortcut is built from scratch.
Cenote Green Orange isn't a gimmick. It's not a liqueur. It's not sweetened filler or a cocktail crutch. It's a full-strength tequila infused with fresh, bitter green orange peel - and that distinction matters. This is a flavour-forward, bartender-grade infusion that takes everything good about citrus-forward drinks and builds it directly into the spirit.
The foundation is Cenote's Blanco - 100% Blue Weber agave, slow-roasted and double distilled, filtered through volcanic rock. Crisp, mineral-driven, clean. Then comes the green orange - naranja verde, picked before ripeness, all pith and peel and floral bitterness. What you get in the glass isn't candy citrus. It's the sharpness of crushed peel, the dryness of citrus oil, and the aromatic edge of zest just torn from the fruit.
The nose hits fast: orange blossom, lime skin, lemongrass, and fresh agave. Not perfumed - lifted. There's nothing artificial in the profile. The citrus comes through natural and dry, underpinned by a grassy brightness that keeps it grounded.
On the palate, the orange peel leads - bitter, bright, and slightly waxy - then it gives way to cooked agave and a peppery mid-palate that keeps it squarely in tequila territory. A little vanilla softness rounds out the edges. The texture is lean, not syrupy. It sips like a dry citrus spirit, not a cordial. That's the difference.
The finish is fast and fresh - orange pith, white pepper, and a cooling hit of agave that keeps the whole thing from veering sweet.
Cenote Green Orange isn't for sipping solemnly in a copita. It's for mixing - but with intent. Build a Margarita with nothing but lime and a drop of agave syrup, and you'll see why this exists. No triple sec. No sugar crash. Just clarity, brightness, and balance.
It shines in Ranch Waters, Palomas, and long spritzes with soda and grapefruit peel. It can even sneak into a white Negroni or tequila Martini and pull weight without overpowering the build.
This is tequila reimagined for the modern bar - flavourful, dry, and functional. A bold twist with clean lines. A citrus-led spirit that respects the agave underneath.
And yes - that bottle will get attention. But what's inside earns it.
