Tasting Notes
Les Chanlins is located above and next to Les Rugiens, which is actually closer to the village of Volnay than to Pommard itself. It is a plot on a steeply sloping rocky site, producing a well rounded wine with very impressive tannins.
Its fresh and velvety
aromas of red berries make this a
charming wine, but it needs three years
in the cellar to tame its power.

Scores
92 / 100"Medium to bright purple. 50% whole bunch makes a more classic pinot fruit on the nose. Opens out very nicely, slightly more acidity than tannin to make the structure. No great density but pleasingly perfumed with raspberry and rose petals. Drink from 2027-2034. Tasted: October 2023"
