Tasting Notes
Les Chanlins is located above and beside Les Rugiens, closer to the village of Volnay than to Pommard itself. It is a steeply sloping rocky plot producing a tense, mineral wine with very noble tannins

Scores
92 / 100"From a 1986 plantation. Cheerful bright crimson to purple, all destemmed. Very pretty perfume, floral for a Pommard with a concentration of cherry/raspberry fruit behind. Really quite stylish with elegance but also a positive firm structure behind and good persistence."

"Volnay elegance and perfume from this Pommard (probably because the Les Chanlins sits right on the border of the regions!) but with a grippy firmness to the tannins. Age-worthy for sure, but fine and very pretty right now. Excellent oak integration."
