91 / 100"Organic wine from the Plan de Dieu. It’s a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Syrah. I’ve met Bernard, and he’s a nice chap, and very well turned out. Doesn’t enjoy unruly children, however… Importer: Fourth Wave Wine If you’re looking for a modestly priced Southern Rhone that can work as a mid-weeker, and probably step up to a bigger weekend role, then here’s a bit of a goer. Red fruits, aromatic scrub herbs, spice, grilled meat. Medium-bodied, some sticky tannin, balanced acidity, distinctly perfumed with dried herb, red fruit and cherry, and a tidy finish of satisfying length. Lovely wine. Very easy to enjoy."

Tasting Notes
The barren plains of the Plan de Dieu (God’s Plain) have a winemaking heritage dating back to the fourteenth century. Deep pebble beds result in rich and powerfully flavoured wines. Organically grown fruit is hand harvested before a traditional vinification using small open fermenters and maturation in two to three year old large format oak for nine months. Bottled without fining and minimal addition of sulphides.
