99 / 100"The 2024 Château Haut-Brion moves like a shadow in the dark – a tender assassin whose blade never glints, but always lands true. It makes no sound, yet its presence ripples through the silence. It does not speak, but when it draws near, your pulse begins to race. With alcohol back at 13.2% abv, the core of the wine is expressed with even greater precision. A three-step sorting process: first optical, then Tri densimétrique, followed by meticulous hand selection, works like a surgeon’s blade. Each cut is sharper than the last, reducing yields to just 28 hl/ha. But the reward is unmatched purity, marking a legendary moment for the 2024 vintage. The advantage of this early-ripening terroir has come into full play in a cool, rainy vintage, resulting in not only layered aromas but also greater richness on the palate. The juicy scent of wild blueberry emerges first, only to be sealed in place by an inky density. On the palate, it feels like a black lotus rising slowly from the lake’s depths – silent, deep, and glowing gracefully under the moonlight. Before long, this wine is sure to leave a bold and unforgettable mark in the history of Château Haut-Brion. - Alexandre Ma"

"This year, the style of Haut Brion shows through with transparency, beautiful balance and precision. Fine austerity, with excellent minerality, dark olives and red and dark berries. Structured on the mid-palate. Beautiful depth for the vintage, with really fine-grained tannins and a lengthy finish that lingers. So much vibrancy and finesse. A classic vintage. - James Suckling"
