"Deep garnet colored, the 2010 La Fleur de Gay features a lot of cedar/oak to begin, giving way to a core of black cherry preserves, warm blueberries and spice cake plus wafts of tobacco and new leather. Full-bodied, the palate has an abundance of rugged, chewy tannins with rather attenuated fruit and a rustic finish. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Published: Mar 06, 2020)"

Tasting Notes
Château La Fleur de Gay is a Bordeaux red wine made in the Pomerol appellation from old-vine plots on the property of Chateau La Croix de Gay. It was first produced as an individual wine in the early 1980s. For a few vintages it featured a little Cabernet Franc, but typically the wine is 100 percent Merlot.
