17 / 20"95% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot. Cask sample. The winner in the J-P Moueix stable this year, in my book. Elegant but restrained with just that bit more density on the mid palate than the other wines. Fine texture and tannins with drive on the finish. Elegance and balance combined. - James Lawther MW"

"Deep garnet in color, the wine opens with flowers, chocolate, truffles, licorice, espresso, dark plums, and red pit fruits. Plush, soft, and polished on the palate, with supple-textured, silky fruits in the elegant and almost flamboyant, sensuous finish. This is really quite strong, especially when you consider the difficulties in the vintage. The wine blends 95% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. The harvest took place September 23 - October 6. Drink from 2025-2049. 93-95"

"Intense ruby fades to purple at the rim. Delicate blackberry notes, a touch of dark cherry and orange zest, also red fruit aspects, perhaps a little shy. Complex, tightly meshed, chocolatey texture, ripe tannins, cherry and nougat on the finish, zesty acidity carries through on the long finish; will benefit from further time in bottle."

Tasting Notes
Château Lafleur-Pétrus, a prestigious estate in Pomerol, offers a compelling blend of tradition and quality. Situated between Château Lafleur and Château Pétrus, this estate benefits from an exceptional terroir of clay and gravel soils, ideal for Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Winemaker Christian Moueix ensures meticulous attention to detail in every vintage. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel vats, preserving the pure expression of the fruit. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels, with a mix of new and seasoned wood, enhancing its complexity and depth.
Each vintage of Château Lafleur-Pétrus reveals a bouquet of ripe blackberries, plums, and a hint of violet. On the palate, expect rich flavours of dark fruits, subtle spice, and finely integrated tannins, leading to a long, elegant finish. This wine offers outstanding value and prestige, making it a distinguished addition to any collection and a delight for discerning palates.
