99 / 100"The symbiosis of reduction and ripe fruit reveals the complexity and reserve present in this bouquet. It also reveals nuances of fresh wood, which make up only a tiny part of the olfactory character. Added to this are the notes of elderberry, peppermint, plums, and tea leaves that gradually emerge. On the palate, the wine impresses with its fullness, its ability to convince in terms of substance and elegance. It is lean and broad, floating and deep, sparkling and serene. It is simply a great wine. Perhaps even a very great wine, and one that still has the potential to become one. It opens up more than pleasing perspectives; they are convincing, touching, and comforting. Every year has its place for great wines, and Eglise Clinet is one of them. 2030-2054 - Yves Beck"

"Really impressive concentration for the vintage with dusty tannins that give density and intensity. Medium-bodied, this shows dark fruit and chocolate plus walnut and hazelnut undertones. Juicy and flavorful but always in reserve. Winemaker Noemie Durantou Reilhac likens it to the 2015 but with finesse. 90% merlot and the rest cabernet franc. - James Suckling"
