94 / 100"The 2015 Barolo Castelletto Vigna Pressenda is a polished and tight cru that captures the elegant side of this vintage as well as the brightness of this fruit from vines in sandy soils just north of Monforte d'Alba that always offer more power and structure than most. This is a very open and frank Barolo, seamless and contoured, with lots of deep beauty. Present it with a platter of mild cheeses, but only after you have given the bottle a few more years in your cellar."

"Aromas of tar, licorice and dark fruit follow through to a full body, super tight and chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Very persistent. Try in 2024."

"Rich, dark shining ruby red. Savouriness aromas of gingerbread, cinnamon, ripe plums, and balsamic notes. Multilayered palate, with extremely supple and polished tannins, great texture and a long finish."
