95 / 100"Figs in syrup, dates and prune paste. Cumin, cinnamon and garam marsala with wafts of pudding, bitter chocolate and hard-boiled caramels. An elegance to the rancio with hazelnut skin, wafer and ground ginger. There is also a bit of quince and apricot paste with a sour tamarind element that peaks up through the mid-palate. Detailed and moreish."

"Dark tawny in the glass, amber around the rim suggesting some old material here. Nutty, old wood aromas, raisins, mocha and vanilla. Luscious on entry then the old wood and coffee/mocha flavours come through and the finish is quite dry and textured."

Tasting Notes
Classic tawny colour with streaks of amber. An array of aromas are on display with dark raisined fruits, mocha, hints of vanillin oak and nutty aged barrel characters. Initially luscious, nuances of mocha and coffee have integrated over time, barrel aged flavours in harmony resulting in a smooth, lingering drying finish.
