91 / 100"Deep garnet-purple, the 2013 Estate Shiraz is a 100% estate-grown Shiraz made with fruit from 15- to 116-year-old vines. The nose opens to very ripe aromas of preserved fruits, potpourri, peach blossoms and exotic spices. Big and ripe, full-bodied palate offers a rich, classically styled Shiraz with velvety tannins to frame the long and spicy finish."

Tasting Notes
The fruit for Elderton Shiraz is sourced mainly from the Elderton Vineyard situated on the banks of the North Para River, Nuriootpa, Barossa Valley, South Australia. Elderton was transformed from a vineyard supplying quality fruit to other wineries to a winery in its own right in 1982, and have since won much recognition for all of the wines, especially the Shiraz. The 2017 vintage was characterised by steady ripening of fruit across the Barossa. From our vineyards we were able to get great fresh flavours particular to each site, with some tight just-ripe tannins behind to balance the fruit. We love the freshness that 2017 brings, and the elegance in the wines as a result
