94 / 100"This was the only red that Muga made in 2018, and the wines from the best vineyards went into the blend. In other words, top vineyards. Medium-bodied with very fine tannins that are caressing and refined. Plenty of subtle berries, chocolate and walnuts."

"The 2018 Muga Reserva has pretty notes of dark blue fruits as well as violets, spring flowers, and cedary oak. More medium-bodied on the palate, it shows the fresher, elegant style of the vintage, has beautiful tannins, no hard edges, and outstanding length on the finish."

Tasting Notes
70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 10% Mazuelo and Graciano.
First, a very fruity bouquet of the nose is revealed. There are particularly juicy blackberries, which are gradually accompanied by fine spices of vanilla, roasted coffee and oak nuances. On the palate this Spanish red wine shows a soft prelude, which is accompanied by fine, very well integrated tannins with very subtle menthol sounds. The full-bodied body harmonizes perfectly with the fine acidity. The finale completes this cuvée with a pleasantly long reverberation.
