90 / 100"Full-bodied and tightly wound, this Shiraz probably won't show its best for another 2–3 years. It's a focused, solid wine, with a blackberry and blueberry core and a note of wheat or biscuit. Dry, smooth tannins come on strong in the midpalate and follow through to the finish."

Tasting Notes
Occam’s Razor is made by Emily Laughton, daughter of Ron and Elva Laughton of Jasper Hill. Emily brings a new face to an already famous region, and her wine has all the hallmarks of quality you would expect from such a famous wine family. The Occam’s Razor principle is defined by simplicity and allowing the fruit to express itself, and you can expect pure and brilliant Heathcote fruit from this label. Grapes from Colbinabbin, mid-north of the Heathcote region, blended together with a smaller parcel from further south west. Harvested early to capture a great fresh feel. Delicate nose, dark crimson colour, soft tannins, forward bright fruit of rhubarb and red plum. Delicious, enjoy it now.
