Scores
93 / 100"Medium red-purple; the elegant bouquet has good fruit ripeness, which flows through into the mid palate of the wine. The oak has been well handled, the wine finishing with pleasantly dry, savoury tannins. An excellent follow up to the outstanding '98 vintage."

"92/100 Bob Campbell MW Bob Campbell Remarkable wine that's still very lively with elegant berry, blackberry and cedar flavours. Beautifully structured with great balance. Complete wine that's good now but has time ahead"

Tasting Notes
Very deep crimson colour – virtually opaque. Lifted aroma of spice and violets, followed by a blackcurrant end note. Flavours of cedar, plum, blackcurrant and stewed fruit evolve. Fine grained, tight, firm tannins, followed by an aftertaste of plum, spice and blackcurrant.
