93 / 100"This is gorgeously fruited and inviting on the nose showing blackcurrant, spiced cherry, mint chocolate, anise and cedar characters. The palate delivers succulent fruit flavours and excellent weight, wonderfully complemented by silky texture and fine, chalky tannins. Flavoursome and persistent with gorgeous fruit and spicy/savoury flavours"

"Cabernet done well. It puts structure and length ahead of volume, though it’s not wimpy. It tastes of mint, olives, blackcurrant and cedar-infused cream. It’s both cabernet and Coonawarra at every turn. There’s a dusting of dried herb character here too. It’s good. It will do OK in the cellar over the medium term, ad well-balanced medium-weight cabernet invariably does."

Tasting Notes
The famed environment of Coonawarra creates perfect grape growing conditions. Working closely with vineyard owners, winemaker John has selected parcels of wine that have been blended to capture the essence of Coonawarra’s finest variety. Ottelia’s Cabernet Sauvignon brings true depth of colour with inviting Berry fruits, ripe cherry, dark chocolate and liquorice aromas with some cedar nuance, subtle varietal lift and background French oak. Rich, ripe mouth filling cherry, berry and dark chocolate flavours with generous mid palate weight and good length. Fruit and oak tannins are both textural and enhancing.
