94 / 100"This wine is the Chanel dress or black suit that never goes out of style. Elegant and well-crafted, the wine shows the patience of a good wine grower. Aromas of ripe cherries and red currants lift with mixed wild flowers, camphor and turned earth on the nose. Graceful on the palate with elegant tannins that grip with a velvet glove and hold the fruit and savory flavors all in balance. Artisanal craft at its best."

"A very classic Barolo blend, bright ruby in colour and full of cherry vibrancy with sweet violet and earthy strawberry depth. Graceful acidity emerges first, then refined, velvety tannins. It's dusty yet ripe on the finish, with a relatively light frame. Mostly savoury and persistent."

"Pencil shavings, liquorice root, cherry, pretty ripe and rugged wine, red and black fruit, plenty of flavour, orange rind, with chewy tannin and an almond-laced finish of good length. Like it. So much character, and lots of liquorice, which I really enjoy. Very good Barolo. It’d be hard not to love it. I do."

Tasting Notes
Vineyards located in Verduno, land with a high vocation growing Nebbiolo grapes for Barolo. Exposure: South-West with an altitude of approx. 300 meters above the sea, particularly soft calcareous clay and marls. Bright ruby red, with cardinal red reflections. Intense perfumes of mature fruits, blackberries and prunes and a very elegant and complex Barolo, gentle tannins with a fresh long finish. Wine with a very good ageing potential, it develops slowly and constantly in the bottle. This great wine finds its natural pairing with the dishes of the Piedmontese tradition, braised beef, wild boar.
