96 / 100"Benjamin. 94% cabernet sauvignon, 4% malbec, 2% cabernet franc, hand-picked, passed over a vibrating sorting table to small closed tanks for fermentation, 35 days post-ferment maceration, matured for 19 months in new French oak. Having gone to this time, trouble and expense, it is logical to build the wine for future generations to enjoy, and that is certainly the case here, with mega-helpings of high quality cabernet fruit (plus bits and pieces), oak and tannins, and the all-important balance."
