Tasting Notes
Genre: Campfire Elegy — Gentle Smoke and Bourbon Sweetness
This one’s a mood: lightly peated single malt vatted from multiple casks, all ex-bourbon. Think soft smoke, smooth oak, and honeyed grain carried on a cool coastal breeze.
The nose is balanced and beautiful: vanilla bean, pear skin, campfire embers, and soft caramel. A flick of smoke rises through malt and oak, subtle but ever-present.
On the palate: golden syrup, lemon peel, toasted barley, and a drift of peat. The bourbon casks bring in creamy sweetness, roundness, and depth — nothing sharp, nothing overdone.
Mid-palate blooms with white chocolate, soft spice, green apple, and a hint of char. There’s a clarity to the peat — it accents, not dominates.
Finish: clean and composed. Vanilla, grain, a kiss of smoke. This is whisky made with restraint, precision, and understanding of balance. A perfect introduction to peat for the curious, and a rewardingly elegant pour for seasoned drinkers.
