96 / 100"Col McBryde one of the best, most thoughtful winemakers in this country, and indeed, maybe the world. Blackberry, raspberry, a little sweet baking spice, mint and floral perfume, though those things, while good, mean nothing until you put the wine in your mouth; then it really takes off. This is a liquid ‘mineral’ delight, and the tannin is searching, but so fine and stony, and really marks this wine out as a rare bird. Dusty, biscuitty, classic Clare Shiraz of finesse and superb length. Yes. - Gary Walsh (The Wine Front)"

""This comes from 1915 plantings. On skins for around three weeks in concrete and matures in 700L oak barrels, with around 25% new oak in this wine. Slimline and succulent expression of shiraz, though plenty of meatiness, rich, red berry fruits, woody spices and a strong currency of graphite minerality with an almost river-pebble texture, including the web of lacy, puckering tannin that stretches the wine so long and fine. A touch of rugged undergrowth-like character anchors the wine to Clare. It’s stellar stuff here, elegant but so very detailed in its fruit, spice and savoury elements." - Mike Bennie (Halliday Wine Companion)"
