Tasting Notes
The Tessendier family has been excelling – with seriousness and passion – in the art of distillation for generations. The latest project brewing in their copper pipes is this vintage-styled whisky brand that pays tribute to the 50s and to the mother of Jérôme and Lilian. Appearance: Straw-coloured with a subtle golden hue, indicative of its maturation in American oak and bourbon casks. Nose: Initial aromas present a blend of citrus fruits and herbal notes, accompanied by a gentle hint of alcohol. As it develops, nuances of honey, cocoa, and resinous undertones emerge, adding depth and complexity. Palate: The whisky offers a clean and direct entry, revealing flavours of orchard fruits such as apples and pears, complemented by hints of oranges and candied fruits. This fruity profile is enriched by notes of honey, cocoa, and a touch of blond tobacco, contributing to a velvety mouthfeel. Finish: The finish is characterized by a delicate bitterness, with lingering notes of cocoa, coffee, and subtle wood spices, leaving a satisfying and balanced aftertaste. Overall: Arlett Single Malt Original Whisky showcases the craftsmanship of Distillerie Tessendier, delivering a harmonious balance of fruity, sweet, and woody elements. Its structured aromatic profile and smooth texture make it suitable for both sipping neat and as a versatile base for refined cocktails.
