Tasting Notes
“The Chilean volcanic terroir is nothing but dynamic. Many of our vineyards are located on mature volcanic – igneous regions, where soils are a result of the weathering processes that have occurred over millions of years. However, we also have vines growing on modern volcanic ash deposits emitted directly from volcanoes that we can see today in the magnificent Andes. Our philsophy is to create wines that reflect their unique soils, formed by volcanic activity over millions of years and that are true expressions of their origin, displaying the purity and typicity of the specific grape without excessive oak that can mask the unique flavours."
A nose of fresh red fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, tea, spices and earthy notes. On the palate, rich acidity, soft and reactive tannins, medium volume, with a fine silky and fresh finish.

"Wines from volcanic soils are the latest hot thing, which is more than understandable given the quality of many of them. This one hails from Chile. A pale crimson colour here, the nose gives us some lovely savoury Pinot notes, including animal flesh and truffle notes. We have spices, dry herbs, leather and red fruits, with good focus and satiny tannins, and a lingering finish. If savoury Pinot is your thing, get on board. This will be good drinking for at least the next three to four years. Wine from volcanic soils is here to stay."

"From the Central Valley of Chile comes this delightful young pinot ours. The nose reveals slightly earthy damp forest floor-like characters with dark cherry and vanilla essence nuances The medium-bodied palate is supple and fleshy but with a finish thread of tannin and acid to focus through to the long finish."
