Tasting Notes
This is vermouth made like perfume. Built on Piedmontese red wine and spiced with hand-foraged herbs and spices — think wormwood, vanilla, cinnamon, citrus, gentian, and cocoa husk — this is a classic Rosso with soul and edge.
The nose is seductive and richly spiced. Bitter orange, dried cherry, cola nut, and cacao nibs, with layers of sweet spice — nutmeg, cassia, clove — and a clean herbal lift underneath.
On the palate, it’s perfectly balanced. Sweet, yes, but never syrupy. Orange peel, burnt sugar, vermouth spice, and a little earthy bitterness roll across the tongue. The wine base sings clearly — you can taste the structure — with a dry, tannic grip that grounds all the aromatic flash.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering clove, chinotto, and cocoa. Perfect in a Negroni, or with just a cube of ice and orange twist.
