TASTING NOTES

Champagne Marius Selosse Vieilles Vignes Blanc de Blanc Brut Nature NV is a rare and exquisite expression of Chardonnay, crafted from meticulously selected old vines planted in 1970 in the renowned terroirs of Les Charmées and Les Crayons in Chavot. This vintage, harvested in 2022, reflects the purity and freshness characteristic of clay-limestone soils, resulting in a wine of remarkable tension and vibrant liveliness.

Produced in an extremely limited edition of only 2,700 numbered bottles, this cuvée is a testament to artisanal winemaking and environmental stewardship. The vinification process is entirely natural, with no added sulfites from start to finish, preserving the authentic fruit profile and allowing the terroir to shine through. Aging exclusively in stainless steel vats enhances the wine’s crystalline clarity and brilliant vivacity.

Malolactic fermentation relies solely on indigenous bacteria present on the grape skins, ensuring a delicate and genuine transformation. The wine undergoes gentle stabilization through a semi-cold exposure of four nights at 0°C, facilitating natural clarification and maintaining impeccable balance. Bottled in January 2023, the production honors a strong environmental commitment, including bottle reuse during disgorging.
