Tasting Notes
“2008 was a very long growing season, but also a warm, dry season. As a result, the wines were quite rich stylistically, with wonderful generosity of fruit and terrific concentration”.
Belinda Thomson, Vigneron
Blackcurrant, black cherry and cedar combine with edges of black olive to present a magnificent, aged release wine. The concentrated fruit profile leans to black, rather than red fruit, with an elegant, fine palate providing integrated, highly quality French oak. There is liquorice root and baked blood plum, with the structured, fine tannin so typical of our gravel dominant soils. An age worthy pleasure.
