Tasting Notes
This is breakfast for the bold. It’s not a liqueur, and it’s not a gimmick. FEW’s Cold Brew Bourbon is the midnight diner booth where whiskey and coffee swap secrets and smokes. Cold-steeped coffee is infused post-maturation into FEW’s bourbon, resulting in a spirit that’s dangerously smooth but still packing a punch.
On the nose, it’s immediate: rich, earthy Arabica coffee, dark chocolate truffle, molasses, and roasted hazelnut. Beneath the bean, the bourbon speaks — vanilla fudge, burnt orange peel, a hint of leather. It smells like the kind of bar where they serve espresso at midnight and don’t ask questions.
The palate is smooth, but not soft. Dark roast coffee hits first, with that slightly bitter espresso tang. Then caramel and brown sugar flood in, backed by the toasty oak of the bourbon. It’s chewy and rounded — like tiramisu soaked in bourbon and dusted with cocoa. A trace of cherry and almond rides underneath, adding depth. No artificial flavours, no sweetness overload — just the real deal.
The finish is warm and surprisingly dry, leaving behind roasted coffee beans, maple, and a flicker of spice. It drinks like a caffeinated campfire, with enough intensity to satisfy both whiskey lovers and coffee addicts.
Use it in place of sweet vermouth in a Manhattan for a bold twist, or sip it cold, neat, and late at night — when you need one more drink but also need to stay awake.
