Tasting Notes
The Hanson reflects the matchmaking encompassed in traditional Irish Whiskey Bonding and showcases the best of Ireland’s distilleries. It is a blend of Irish Grain Whiskeys carefully sourced from different distilleries. Aged for five, ten and eleven years in ex-bourbon and craft American casks from Kentucky and Tennessee, USA to build complexity upon the sweet grain whiskey. The result is a bright, fruit-forward Irish Whiskey, mellowed with deep oak and rich toasted vanilla notes. Bottled at 46% abv without any colouring or chill-filtration, The Hanson is perfect by itself or in a refreshing highball. NOSE: Rich and deep notes of vanilla fudge and toasted coconut speak of the Bourbon influence. Top notes of griddled pineapple and lime give a fresh zing. PALATE: A lively start with bright, green apples, and toasted coconut continuing from the nose. The influence of fresh oak is clear. AGE PROFILE: 5-11 years old CASK TYPES: Bourbon and American Craft Whiskey
