Scores

95 / 100

"Pretty and lifted aromas of cherry, violets, pot-pourri, sarsaparilla and blueberry. The palate is bright, fresh and crunchy, with a core of red and blue fruits and spice. Tannins are texured and layered and the acidity has life and zip. A lovely, spritely grenache"

95 / 100

"Single-vineyard grenache made in the 'cab-mac' (carbonic maceration) style, matured in old, seasoned barrels. Such a pretty wine this, bright in hue with red cherry, plum and raspberry fruits cut with hints of exotic spice, wildflowers, crushed stone, raspberry coulis, wild strawberries, citrus rind, gingerbread and earth. Detailed with plenty of space, tension and verve, a minerally pulse and a real sense of savoury, purely fruited joy. Just lovely drinking."
- Halliday's Wine Companion

93 / 100

"There’s purity of fruit, clarity of acidity and gloss of tannins in this wine. It feels a bit juby/confected and maybe slightly warm as Grenache does/is sometimes, but overall it’s balanced and flowing with focus. Fruit comes pushing to the front, plump raspberry and red plum, a hint of blue fruit and peppery spice to finish, pinching the tongue in the aftertaste. It has a bit of wilderness inside, dusty twiggy notes and meatiness soothed by a sweet note of red liquorice. You can’t deny it’s an attractive drink."
