Tasting Notes
This wine is reminiscent of an aged Portuguese Vintage Port that is semi translucent in colour – now approaching a Tawny Port visually. Bright red colour with brick red hue. The nose is very fine, filled with aroma of marzipan, aged brandy spirit, plump dried raisins, prunes and liquorice all sorts. The tannins are fine and dry – again Portuguese in character. Flavours of raisins, old brandy (beautifully balanced) and liquorice all sorts. Excellent length and depth with dry finish.
