Caduceus Anubis is a bold and sophisticated blend crafted from 100% Arizona grapes, showcasing the unique terroir of the high-altitude Eliphante block at 3400 feet in Yavapai County. This exclusive wine combines 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Durif, and 10% Aglianico, resulting in a complex and structured profile that reflects both power and elegance.
Created by Maynard James Keenan, the renowned frontman of the band Tool, this project captures his passion for winemaking and dedication to quality. The Anubis is aged for 18 months in French casks and puncheons, enhancing its depth and texture.
The nose offers an inviting bouquet of black fruits, ranging from fresh and ripe to stewed, evoking the warm, comforting aroma of a berry cobbler. On the palate, it is full and generous, bursting with intense black and red fruit flavors. The wine’s plush texture is balanced by ripe tannins, delivering a seamless and lingering finish.
This wine pairs beautifully with rich, slow-cooked beef or pork dishes, making it an ideal choice for refined dining experiences.
