TASTING NOTES

This Champagne Devaux D Millesime Brut 2012 is your ticket to an unforgettable celebration or a truly special quiet moment.

Crafted only in exceptional years, this vintage is a stunning blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, patiently aged for 7 years before release. Expect bright, zesty citrus notes beautifully balanced with hints of ripe orchard fruits and a delicate, toasty finish that feels both fresh and luxurious.

It’s the kind of Champagne that’s earned its place at Gordon Ramsay’s 3 Michelin star tables and scored a remarkable 97 points from Huon Hooke. In fact, at The Real Review, it ranked as the #2 sparkling wine of 2012, outshining bottles three times its price.

Pop the cork when you want to savor a moment that calls for something exceptional—whether that’s pairing it with creamy seafood dishes or simply raising a glass to life’s best memories.

Scores

97/100

Mid yellow colour with a complex and alluring bouquet of toasty bread, croissant, short-crust pastry and the palate is big and full, voluminous, with a firmness and dryness thanks to lively acidity and plenty of well-judged phenolics. Lemon and honey later. A robust, powerful, emphatic style of Champagne with stacks of flavour. A great food wine and could be cellaring a little longer although it's excellent now. Impressive wine. 23 Dec 2023
