TASTING NOTES

This is the wine for those unforgettable dinners where every sip feels like a celebration of time itself.

Domaine Meo-Camuzet’s Corton Clos Rognet Grand Cru 2023 is a lush, silky powerhouse wrapped in elegance. Think rich, velvety red fruit layered with a whisper of sweet spice and that signature smoothness that only decades-old vines can deliver. It’s got a plush texture that fills your palate, finishing with just enough structure to keep things interesting and memorable.

Hailing from one of Burgundy’s most prestigious estates, this wine’s pedigree shines through every bottle. Crafted on the iconic hill of Corton in Ladoix-Serrigny, the vineyard’s perfect east-facing slope and historic stone walls create a unique microclimate for grapes that develop with slow, deliberate grace. 2023’s harvest captures all that magic, promising incredible aging potential that will reward patience for years to come.

This is your perfect partner for a cozy night with a rich, slow-cooked beef stew or a decadent mushroom risotto—those dishes that invite you to pause, savor, and lose yourself in the moment. With 96 points from Jasper Morris backing its exceptional quality, this Grand Cru is truly a timeless treasure from the heart of Côte d’Or.

Picked 5th September. Concentrated purple. Reticent bouquet. This is rather lusher in the fruit up front but still entirely red berries rather than black, with a classy texture on top of a well-defined backbone. Little red fruits picked at perfect ripeness. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted Nov 2024.

Generous wood and menthol nuances stop short of overshadowing the overtly spicy and ripe aromas of most the essence of red berries along with ample earth. The caressing, mouthcoating and utterly seductive larger-bodied flavors possess noticeably better mid-palate density before terminating in a firm, powerful and very serious finale that does exhibit a touch of warmth but overall, much better balance.
