The 2023 Bianco Secco is a traditional blend of Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Saorin. This fifth grape variety is the local name for Tocai or Friuliano, and as far as I know, only the Quintarelli family still refers to it by its local name "Saorin". The wine is partly aged in oak, the rest in stainless steel tanks. A small percentage of the blend is appassimented. This is done by adding a small portion of the air-dried Passito Amabile del Cerè to this wine. The Bianco Secco offers plenty of sweet melon and peach with a medium-bodied texture. The bouquet is characterised by beautiful mineral notes.
