17 / 20"‘Cask sample. Beautiful nose, perfumed pure and dense with smoked game, spiced biltong, charcuterie and dried earthy notes, a note of tequila. The palate is saturated with pain grillée and firm tannins, grippy and real sense of purity. Surprising acidity for such a warm vintage – round and rich yet always with a crunchy, whole-bunch-infused freshness. "‘Staggering nose of red fruit with fascinating mineral and meaty undertones. Gigantic concentration on the medium- to full-bodied palate, the power tightly reined in, but nonetheless driving the extremely long and precise finish that has great stony expression. A cuvee of wines from the granitic Les Bressards section of the hill of Hermitage and lower lying vineyards with more clay in the soil. 100% whole cluster fermentation, then bottled unfiltered and unfined. Drink from 2026.’ 98 Points JamesSuckling.com Apr 2024"
