Tasting Notes
Jean d'Alibert was appointed Abbot of Caunes-Minervois by King Henri IV in 1598. Abbot Jean d'Alibert had an original entrepreneurial activity, both for the monastery and for the economy of the region. It was he who made famous the marble quarry of Caunes Minervois, the most beautiful pieces of which adorn the most important monuments of the world (Italy, Versailles, Arabian Peninsula). Abbot Jean d'Alibert allowed the global influence of local products, and we continue to do this by exporting the wine of our terroir around the world.
This is a Light Pinot Noir. Small red fruit, fine acidity, fine bitterness, a juicy Pinot noir and transparent red in colour.
A very pleasant wine, with bursts of red fruit with a refreshing touch of pepper. Aromas of raspberries, cherries, hints of strawberry, oak and pepper. Ruby red with purplish hues.

Scores
4.5 / 5"Elegant and charming, the wine shows ripe cherry, violet, clove, mushroom, and nutmeg notes on the nose, followed by a brightly fruited palate displaying smooth texture and juicy acidity. Beautifully composed with fine balance and delicate structure, finishing silky and tasty. At its best: now to 2028."
